As a further step in our continuing efforts to facilitate the Trade and Industry, it has been decided to allow the HAND DELIVERY of I.E.C Numbers across the counter with the following conditions:

1. Applicants, desiring to obtain hand delivery of the I.E.C. Number will have to submit a Self – attested copy of Ration Card/Passport/Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/SSI Registration/Central Excise Registration along with their application for I.E.C. Number. (Please see para 4 below)

2. The applicants who desire to obtain I.E.C. Number by hand delivery, shall write  "FOR HAND DELIVERY" in bold letters on top of the covering letter of the application.

3. The hand delivery of I.E.C Number will be made to the Proprietor/ Partner/ Director/ Karta/ Trustee whose attested photograph is pasted on the application in Appendix 3.

4. At the time of taking hand delivery of I.E.C Number at the counter:-

(a) Proprietor/ Karta will have to show original copy of Passport/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill/ Ration Card indicating the Residential/ Office Address as indicated in Col. No. 12 of Appendix 2 , Col. No. 2 of Appendix 3 OR SSI Registration Certificate/ Central Excise Registration Certificate indicating the address as shown in Col. No. 3 of Appendix 3

(b) The Partner/ Director/ Trustee will have to show the original copy of Passport/ Ration Card indicating Residential Address as indicated in Col. No. 12 of Appendix 2  OR Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill indicating the Address indicated at Col. No. 2 of Appendix 3 OR SSI Registration Certificate/ Central Excise Registration Certificate indicating the Address as shown in Col. No. 3 of Appendix 3.
