Customs Notification No-71/2006 dated 6.7.2006
Exemption to Naphtha on or after the 1st day of April, 2007

G.S.R. (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.118(E), dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:-

(a) in the preamble, in the proviso, after clause (h), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-

“(i) the goods specified against serial No.74A of the said Table on or after the 1st day of April, 2007.”

(b) in the Table, after S.No.74 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“74A. 2710 Naphtha, when imported by Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited (RGPPL), for use in generation of electricity in the power plants of Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited (RGPPL) at Dabhol, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra Nil Nil -”.
