Customs Notification No-38/2006 dated 28.04.2006
Exemption for import of 2500 items from Singapore

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that the following notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below, shall be amended in the manner and to the extent specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, namely:-

1 74/2005-Customs, dated the 22nd July, 2005 [G.S.R. 499(E), dated the 22nd July 2005.] In the said notification, in the preamble, for the figures and words “90 per cent.”, the figures and words “75 per cent.” shall be substituted.
2. 75/2005-Customs, dated the 22nd July, 2005 [G.S.R. 500(E), dated the 22nd July 2005.] In the said notification, in the preamble, for the figures and words “95 per cent.”, the figures and words “90 per cent.” shall be substituted.
