Customs Notification No-74/2005 (NT) dated 30.8.2005
Amendments in import & export manifests

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following amendments to the Import Manifest (Aircraft) Regulations, 1976, namely :-

(a) In Form-II,-Passenger Manifest, referred to in Sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of Regulation 3, in the column, for “Surname and initials” and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :-

(b) After Regulation 4, the following shall be inserted, namely :-

“5. Passenger manifest.-

(1) The passenger manifest shall be delivered within fifteen minutes of the closure and departure of the flights from the originating stations.

(2) The manifest shall be transmitted electronically to the Indian Customs.

(3) Where the manifest cannot be delivered electronically due to some unavoidable reason, the same may be delivered as acceptable to the concerned Commissioner of Customs in accordance with the conditions prescribed in the procedure.”.
