Customs Notification (NT)  No.36/2002  dated 13.6.2002
Amendment to  Notification No.15/2002-Customs (N.T.) dated 7.3.2002 - Areas and related Customs officers

            In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 15/2002-Customs(N.T.) dated the 7th March, 2002, namely:-

In the Table to the said notification,

(a)    for Sl.No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

  1. Port of Mumbai, Mumbai Airport (Santa Cruz and Chatrapati Shivaji International Airports), the area under the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, and the designated areas in the Continental Shelf and Exclusive Economic Zone of India as declared by the Government of India from time to time;

     

(b) The Jawahar Lal Nehru Port and the Taluka of Panvel in the District of Raigad in the State of Maharashtra;

 

(c) Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone Special Economic Zone.

(e) for Sl.No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

(a) The whole of the area in the districts of Surendranagar (except Dasada Taluka), Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Morbi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Junagadh and Kutch in the State of Gujarat (excluding the areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Customs, Kandla).

(b) Diu of the Union territory of Daman and Diu

(f) for Sl.No. 23 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

(a) The whole of the State of Tamilnadu (excluding the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Commissioners of Customs, (Airport and Aircargo) Chennai, Port(Import) Chennai and Port(Export) Chennai); and

(b) The Union territory of Pondicherry excluding Mahe Commune and Yanam Territory.

Additional Commissioners, or Joint Commissioners, of Customs working under the control of the Commissioner of Customs, Tiruchirapalli

(g) Sl.No. 24 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
