Notification No.08/2007-Central Excise dated 01.03.2007

Value of clearances - First clearances up to an aggregate value not exceeding one hundred and fifty lakh rupees made on or after the 1st day of April in any financial year

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 8/2003-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 2003 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.138(E), dated the 1st March, 2003, namely:-

2. In the said notification,-

(i) in the Table, in column (2), for the words “one hundred lakh rupees”, the words “one hundred and fifty lakh rupees” shall be substituted;

(ii) in paragraph 2, in sub-paragraphs (iii) and (iv), for the words “rupees one hundred lakhs” occurring at both places, the words “one hundred and fifty lakh rupees” shall be substituted;

(iii) in paragraph 3, for the words “one hundred lakh rupees”, the words “one hundred and fifty lakh rupees” shall be substituted.

3. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2007.
