Notification No.05/2007-Central Excise dated 01.03.2007
Amendments regarding - Ad valorem rates (NTF. NO. 05/2006-CE, DT. 01/03/2006)
G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government,
on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby
makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of
India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 5/2006- Central
Excise, dated the 1st March, 2006 which was published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 95(E), dated the 1st March, 2006, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table,-
(i) against S.No.1, for the entry in column (3), the entry “All goods, other
than nylon filament yarn of 210 deniers or in the multiples thereof, with
tolerance of 6 per cent.” shall be substituted;
(ii) after S.No.1 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and
entries shall be inserted, namely:-

| “1A. | 5402, 5404 or 54061000 | Nylon filament yarn (including nylon monofilament yarn) of 210 deniers or in the multiples thereof, with tolerance of 6 per cent. | 12% | -”; |
(iii) after S.No.5 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.Nos. and
entries shall be inserted, namely:-

| “5A. | 6406 (except 64069930 and 64069940) | All goods | 8% | - |
| 5B | 6601 | Umbrellas and sun umbrellas | 8% | -”; |
(iv) S.No.17 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(v) against S.No.22, in column (3), the words “or synthetic” shall be omitted;
(vi) after S.No.22 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and
entries shall be inserted, namely:-
