NOTIFICATION No. 33 (RE-2008)/ 2004-2009 dated 19.08.2008
Prohibition on export of Edible Oils – Relaxation - regarding.

S.O (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby substitutes, with immediate effect, Para 1.1 of Notification No.85 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 17.3.2008, inserted vide Notification No.92 (RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 1.4.08 and Notification No. 3 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 11.4.2008, as under:-

2. “1.1 Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the following:

(i) Export of Castor Oil,

(ii) Export of Coconut Oil through Kochi Port,

(iii) ‘Deemed export’ of edible oils to 100% export oriented units with the condition that the final product be non-edible,

(iv) Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table given below, even if edible :

15159010 Fixed Vegetable oils viz. Neutralised and Bleached Morwah Oil/fat, Neutralised and Bleached Kokum oil/fat, Neutralised and Bleached Sal oil/ sal fat / Stearine.
15159020 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Dhup oil, Neemseed oil
15159030 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Nigerseed oil.
15159040 Fixed vegetable oils viz. Neutralised and Bleached Mango kernel fat/oil/stearine/olein.
15179010 Sal Fat (Processed or Refined).
15219020 Shellac wax, whether or not coloured.

(v) Export of edible oil from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to be consumed by the SEZ units for manufacture of processed food products.”
