DGFT  POLICY CIRCULAR NO. 10 (RE-2006)/ 2004-09 dated 20.06.2006
Collection and compilation of data on transfers (Imports and Exports) of Scheduled Chemicals of Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) – enabling accurate submissions of the same to Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) annually by Govt. of India – regarding.

Attention is invited to provisions contained against Category 1 under Appendix 3 to Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-2009 relating to the export of Schedule Chemicals of CWC as notified by this office vide Notification No.15 dated 15.7.2005.

2. With immediate effect, all the exporters and importers of Schedule 2 and 3 Chemicals of Chemical Weapons Convention are hereby advised to ensure that correct description of the Chemicals as well as their 8 digit HS Codes against them (as notified against Category 1A and 1B under Appendix-3 to Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-2009, Notification No.15 dated 15.7.2005 refers) is indicated in their respective Shipping documents, both inward and outward. Further, they are also advised to forward a copy of the Shipping documents for each consignment of import or export to CHEMEXCIL, Mumbai within 15 days of the same, in addition to any other Departments / Organizations or authority notified in this regard.

3. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
