Foreign Trade Policy(FTP) & DGFT matters

The office of the Director General of Foreign Trade is located at Udyog Bhavan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi and is an attached office of the Department of Commerce. This office is entrusted with the work of formulation and implementation of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). Current FTP period is 2015-2020. The office of DGFT is having various subordinate offices called Regional offices (RAs) all over India. In New Delhi, Mumbai. Chennai and Kolkata the RAs are headed by the Additional DGFT and most of other offices are headed by the Joint DGFTs. Small offices are headed by Deputy DGFT or Assistant DGFT.

The total Foreign Trade Policy  comprises of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), Handbook of Procedures (Vol1), Handbook of Procedures (Forms and Appendices), Standard Input Output Norms and ITC(HS) Classification.
